Today we kicked off I Love To Read Week by making some Horton headbands and experiencing our first Drop Everything and Read time! Stay tuned for more special activities, especially for Dr. Seuss's birthday! Also check with your student about the "Bobcat Challenge", hopefully the handout made it home today :)
We got a special treat today - baking chocolate chip cookies with Miss Bertha! Some great quotes from the morning: "I added the sugar soda!", "it looks like baby throw-up!" Congratulations writers - you are published authors!! Below you will find some pictures snapped by another teacher, if you couldn't be there have your kiddo read their book to you when it comes home tomorrow! One of my favorite days of the year! And I think the kindergartners enjoyed it too :) Some pictures from the living and non-living things that were shared! The kindergartners are really starting to grasp the concepts of number trees and equations! We do need to continue to work on reversals though :) |
